I am delighted to share one of my most favorite TED TALKS from the Long Beach conference. Sarah Jones is a locally-born actress, a Broadway star, and she won a major battle against the FCC over language in a hip-hop critique based on her poem THIS REVOLUTION.

I heard about Sarah Jones in English class when talking about theatre performaces. I wasnt able to go watch her show so I was excited to watch this video. I enjoyed her many different personalitys she has in her one woman show each bringing different experiences and cultures.
I thought it was amazing how she juss transformed her voice, body structure and everything into a totally different person. It was also kind of funny.
The video on Sarah Jones was amazing. I enjoyed the way she changed her personalities and voices. I've never actually heard of her, but I definitely want to just google her to see what else she does.
I had never heard of her but from the second she said that the British accent was fake and she started speaking in her regular voice I knew she was going to be interesting. And she was. We all need to be able to laugh at ourselves and at others without taking things so personally all the time.
This video is amazing. Sarah Jones develops an emic view by using different accents, body structure and etc. Just by putting on different clothes, it changes our way of viewing her.
I found this video absolutely amazing and amusing. I like how she can change her voice and the way she dress which allows almost anyone to figure out who she is imitating due to our understanding of different stereotypes.
Sarah Jones is a true actress. The reason for this is because of her accent, her body language and her attitude when she transformed into these differrent characters. Her accents were scary accurate and anyone watching this video almost forgets the fact that it is the same person. She has the talent to completely transform herself into another character and it must have taken her some really in depth research on the culture and language of these cultures in order to pull off what she did.
